Sacramento – Nimbus Winery Service Dogs

Even Heroes Need Heroes

We are committed to uniting service dogs with military veterans. We do this by generating awareness of the benefits of service dogs, and hosting fundraisers throughout the year so we can help sponsor their training. Thanks to the continuous generosity of our pet parents and community supporters, we're making an impact.

We're honored to highlight our furry, four-legged heroes who have graduated from training as loyal, hardworking companions for the brave men and women who served our country. It's hard work to become a service dog for a veteran and only the best make the cut. The need for service dogs among veterans is great and with your support, we hope to sponsor many more.

K9s For Warriors

Woof, it's Rakky here checking in from Camp K9! It’s nice to meet you! This past week has been so fun. My trainer has been introducing me to a lot of new things. He's been taking me on walks along busy streets. Those big semi-trucks are loud and can be scary, but I stay strong and try to ignore them and keep walking right next to him. Speaking of loud, a lawn mower and golf cart zoomed past me the other day! Woah! My trainer was so proud of me because I remained calm and stayed right next to him. My favorite thing I did this week was get on a bus because I used to be scared of them from a previous bad experience, but my trainer now taught me that getting on the bus means I get to go to fun and exciting new places! We went to a park and had fun there. My trainer told me since I was so well behaved at the park, I get to go to even better places soon. That sounds awesome! I'll check in again soon and tell you all about it. Have a great week friends!
