Sacramento – Nimbus Winery NEW PET PARENT INFO

Welcome to Dogtopia!

We are excited to meet you and your pup for your Meet & Greet! At Dogtopia, we are focused on health and safety as well as ensuring all dogs are comfortable in our open-play environment. For daycare and boarding, all dogs are separated into playrooms by size and temperament where they can enjoy hours of safe socialization, exercise, education and FUN. They’re supervised by our highly trained Canine Coaches and you can check in on them throughout the day via our live webcams!

Endless Love Trusted Support

New to Dogtopia?

  • What is a Meet & Greet and why do I need one?

While we love dogs of every breed and personality, not every pup is comfortable in an off-leash, open-play environment. Because safety is our top priority, every dog completes a 20–30-minute Meet & Greet with one of our trained evaluators to ensure daycare is the right fit.

During the evaluation, we’ll review your pup’s health history, complete a gentle nose-to-tail wellness assessment, and observe their comfort level around other dogs in a controlled mini-play area. The process is simple and stress-free, and it helps us ensure every dog feels safe and comfortable at Dogtopia. We look forward to getting to know you and your furry family member!

Dogtopia requirements:

  • Dogs must be current on all required vaccinations, including Rabies, DHPP/DHLPP, and Bordetella
Don’t have your records? We’re happy to contact your veterinarian for you!
  • Puppies must be at least 12 weeks old and fully vaccinated.
  • Dogs 7 months and older must be spayed or neutered.

*Newly adopted adult dogs should spend at least 30 days settling into their new home before visiting Dogtopia.
*To help ensure a comfortable and successful first overnight stay, Dogtopia highly recommends that all new boarding pups complete at least three days of daycare beforehand. This gives them time to become familiar with our team, meet their new furry friends, and feel at home in our facility
*Unaltered dogs under 7 months old may participate in open play. Once a dog reaches 7 months of age, they must be spayed or neutered to join our playrooms.

MEET & GREET

GETTING READY FOR THE MEET & GREET:

Once your Meet & Greet appointment is set and confirmed by our team, you will receive an email to log-in to your online dashboard and begin the registration process. This is where we get to know more about you and your dog, vaccinations can be uploaded by you or our team and you can review and digitally sign our Pet Parent Agreement. Then you’re ready!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

On Meet & Greet day, you will bring your dog(s) to the facility and it is very important to bring the dog on a leash or slip lead with a collar/harness when you enter the lobby. The evaluation process with your dog takes 20-30 minutes with our trained evaluator. During this time, we would love to show you around, address your questions and you can even watch the playroom cameras from our lobby!

EVALUATION INCLUDES:

  • Wellness check
  • Response to staff touch/interaction
  • Comfort level in a crate – Crates are used for rest, naptime, boarding, feedings and administering medication when applicable
  • Reaction in “open-play” setting with other dogs of varying size, breed, and temperament
  • Overall observations

Our Meet & Greet process is simple and stress-free—we just want to get to know your pup and help them feel comfortable at Dogtopia!
