Just like kids, your furry family member needs a structured environment to learn new things, stay active and have fun. Our daycare provides dog owners with more than just a place to leave their pet for the day. They will learn valuable skills, including how to be more sociable with humans and other dogs.

Our facility comes with spacious, fully supervised playrooms. We separate dogs according to their size, temperament and play style to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for your beloved pet.

We offer an off-leash setting, allowing your pup total freedom. We provide dog parents with half-day or full-day daycare. If your pup is getting to be a bit smelly, we also offer spa services as a part of our daycare and boarding packages. When you pick up your dog in the evening, they will be clean and tired but happy after a full day of play.

Need overnight or extended boarding services? Your pup will enjoy their own fun vacation when you book our boarding services.

If you’re planning to board your dog overnight or longer, we recommend bringing them to our San Jose location for a visit beforehand so they can get to know our team and become comfortable in the new environment. STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITY

Our spacious indoor playrooms are fully climate-controlled to ensure your dog’s comfort. The air exchange constantly draws in outside air so even though the dogs are indoors, they are still getting fresh air like they would if they were outside.

We deep clean and sanitize the playrooms multiple times a day to keep them clean and promote good health. The rubber flooring is specially designed with your dog’s comfort in mind; it’s easy on paws, hips and joints, something that is especially beneficial for older dogs and dogs suffering hip dysplasia and other joint ailments.

Leaving your pup alone for the first time can be a stressful experience for any dog parent. You can check in on your fur baby using the webcams in each of our playrooms. All you need is a device that is connected to the internet. You’ll see them having fun and making new BFFFs (best furry friends forever).

We realize how important your dog’s safety is. That is why each of our playrooms is fully supervised by our highly trained team. Our team receives training on how to recognize even the most subtle dog body language. If someone needs a time out, we’ll make sure they get one!

Dogtopia of San Jose has earned certification status as a Heroes for Healthy Pets^TM facility. The Heroes for Healthy Pets^TM Certification Program in Infectious Disease Management provides training for preventative care, including strategic vaccination, and cleaning and disinfection protocols to help maintain disease-free facilities and keep pets healthy.

The program is co-sponsored by the International Boarding and Pet Services Association, National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, Pet Sitters International, VETgirl, and Barkleigh Productions.

SCHEDULING

If you want to schedule your dog for daycare, boarding or spa services, please contact us to arrange a time and date. Before you bring your dog to stay overnight, we ask that you bring them in for a meet and greet with our staff so we can make sure we’re the right fit for your pup. For daycare and boarding clients, we ask that they bring any food, medication and bedding.

CANINE INFLUENZA VIRUS

Canine influenza (CIV) is not the same as kennel cough – it is a highly contagious respiratory disease caused by a virus. There are currently two known strains that effect dogs – H3N8 and H3N2 – and there have been several cases confirmed in the San Jose area. Although this dog flu is not contagious to humans, humans can spread the virus if they do not follow strict protocols, and of course it can be very easily spread between dogs at any location where dogs congregate (dog parks, vets, daycares, etc.).

The signs of Canine Influenza are lethargy, loss of appetite, dehydration, cough, runny nose, and/or fever, although many dogs (around 20%) may be infected and show no signs of illness.
Infected dogs may also pass on the flu before they even show symptoms.

Dogtopia of San Jose follows all the recommended procedures to minimize the risk of passing on this influenza (regular deep cleaning, constant washing, constant monitoring, etc.), but even these are not a 100% guarantee against infection. We require all new pups must be vaccinated, and, because of the recent return to the virus to the Bay Area, all existing pups to be vaccinated by September 1st, 2019.

Although the vaccination is not 100% effective, it will reduce the severity of symptoms in all cases.

REFUND POLICY

We do not give refunds for services already rendered, but will typically refund the value of any unused portion of a pass, adjusted for the actual usage.
