Dogtopia of Summerville uses only cruelty-free , positive-focused approaches to enhance your dog’s behavior. Whether you’re looking teach new puppy behaviors or have an adult dog who needs to learn basic commands, your pup’s private trainer teaches fundamental skills that include sit, stay, touch, leave it, and place. Those skills are then reinforced by canine coaches in your dog’s playroom.
Dogs in private training will also practice leash techniques such as loose leash walking for relaxed strolls and heel for precise walking. Sessions prioritize patience, impulse control, and refraining from jumping.
At pickup, parents will receive report cards and guidance on at-home activities to practice to strengthen the parent-dog bond.
PRIVATE DOG TRAINING NEAR SUMMERVILLE & GOOSE CREEK
Your dog’s personal training journey features 2 30-minute private sessions, spaced throughout your dog’s daycare day to allow for play breaks between practicing new skills. Sessions are held once per week on Tuesdays for six weeks. Please plan for your dog to attend dog daycare at minimum from 9 am – 4 pm.
Pricing for 12 Total Private Dog Training Sessions:
– Enrolled Daycare Dogs: $240 (2 30-minute sessions on Tuesdays for six weeks)
– Non-Enrolled Daycare Dogs: $480 (2 30-minute sessions on Tuesdays for six weeks, includes full day daycare)

Paris Ellis, Head Coach & Dog Trainer
Paris has been with Dogtopia of Summerville since opening in 2023! She has trained in every role, including canine coach, rover, sales associate, canine coach trainer (our head coach), and is now a certified dog trainer.
She has one dog, Bronco, a mini bernedoodle who loves to play in our Toy Box room. Her hobbies include shopping, hanging out with friends, and making Tiktoks. Her favorite breed is the bernese mountain dog.
