Dogtopia of Viera is closed for regular daycare on Sundays, but our boarding dogs still enjoy a full day of fun! Dogs staying with us for boarding receive 8 hours of open play in our playrooms on Sundays, giving them plenty of exercise, socialization, enrichment, and supervised play.

Our lobby is open on Sundays from 10:00–11:00 a.m. and 4:00–5:00 p.m. for boarding drop-off and pick-up. This gives pet parents the flexibility to begin or end their dog’s boarding stay on a Sunday.

While we don’t offer regular daycare drop-off on Sundays, dogs boarding with us still enjoy the active, social Dogtopia experience they know and love.

Dogtopia of Viera is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Yes. Before joining daycare or boarding at Dogtopia of Viera, every dog completes a Meet & Greet with our trained team. This helps us get to know your dog’s personality, comfort level, play style, and individual needs before introducing them to our open-play environment.

During the Meet & Greet, we conduct a nose-to-tail wellness assessment, discuss your dog’s health and behavioral history, observe their comfort with our team, introduce them gradually to the playroom environment, and evaluate how they interact with other dogs.

We also assess your dog’s comfort with a crate. Dogtopia of Viera has a daily rest period from 12:00–2:00 p.m., giving dogs an important opportunity to rest and recharge between morning and afternoon play.

The Meet & Greet helps our team determine whether your dog is ready for open-play daycare or boarding and allows us to learn how we can best support a safe, comfortable, and successful Dogtopia experience.

Our Canine Coaches receive extensive training in dog behavior and body language so they can recognize changes in play, identify signs of stress or overstimulation, encourage positive interactions, and step in when a dog needs a break.

Our playrooms feature compressed rubber flooring rather than hard concrete or slick surfaces. The flooring provides traction while offering a more comfortable surface for dogs’ paws and joints during hours of play.

Because we are completely indoors, our climate-controlled playrooms help keep dogs comfortable throughout Florida’s heat and humidity. This is especially important for brachycephalic, or short-nosed, breeds, which can have more difficulty regulating their body temperature in hot conditions.

Our HVAC system is also designed so that air from the dog playrooms is not recirculated back into those spaces, helping us maintain better indoor air quality and keep the rooms fresh.

Finally, our playrooms are separated by full-height walls rather than fencing between groups. This creates true physical separation between playrooms and reduces visual stimulation from dogs in neighboring groups.
