This means they get to enjoy all of the outstanding benefits that our dog daycare has to offer during the day and can experience the comfort that our boarding provides overnight. If your dog has never stayed with us before, let’s walk through what you can expect. First, all of our pups must pass our Meet & Greet, which is a thorough evaluation to help ensure an open-play, off-leash environment is a good fit. This is our chance to test your pup’s comfort in our home-style crates, where they will be napping during daycare and overnight. We also determine how well they react to our highly-trained team, and perform a wellness check from nose-to-tail, in addition to recording our overall observations.
Our Meet & Greet is a great chance for you and your pup to familiarize yourself with your space and get to know the “lay of the land” before they stay with us. In fact, we ask that pet parents book three days of doggie daycare prior to their boarding stay. That way we can work together to show your pup that Dogtopia of Woodbury is a safe, temporary space and that you will always be back to pick them up. We have found this really helps our pups remain much calmer and more relaxed when they visit for their extended stay.
Note: All dogs must be at least 12 weeks old to stay at our facility. Up-to-date vaccinations (i.e., Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP, etc.) are required, and all dogs seven months old and up must be spayed or neutered.
Once your pup has passed our Meet & Greet and they have stayed with us for a few days, it’s time to pack for their staycation – no suitcases required! All that we recommended bringing is your pup’s bedding that they sleep on at home, as well as their regular food and any medication you would like us to administer. Having these reminders from home only elevates their experience.
When you arrive at Dogtopia of Woodbury, your pup’s day will begin with daycare in our newly-built 5218 sq ft. space that offers a modern, off-leash, and open-play environment for your pup to learn, socialize, exercise, and, most importantly, have the Most Exciting Day Ever in! We offer three types of indoor playrooms that are separated based on size, temperament, and play style. Our Toybox is great for smaller dogs, our Romper Room is ideal for medium-sized dogs with a bit more energy, and our Gym is something our larger dogs will love.
At noon, all of our pups can enjoy some downtime to unwind; a nap time in our home-style crates is always appreciated. This time is also ideal for lunch and to administer medicine (if applicable). Dogtopia has partnered with NutriSource, and we have NutriSouce Chicken and Rice dog food on stock, in case your dog needs a meal while staying with us. Then from 2:00 p.m. to closing, they are back to playing with their new BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever), as they engage in exercises and agility games to keep them feeling like “top dogs”.
Once our facility closes, our boarding dogs move into their crates where they will spend their night, which is in the same playrooms where they spent their day. This helps ensure they are comfortable sleeping in a familiar place, and crate-trained pups will feel right at home with this option. We also offer private suites that allow for more privacy, a quiet place to sleep, and more leg room. It’s also a great choice for siblings you would like to keep together. Both our playroom crates and private suites are closely monitored by our staff and a camera-equipped security system.
SAFETY & CLEANING PROTOCOLS
Our expertly trained Canine Coaches provide supervision throughout your pup’s entire stay. They can detect minute changes in behavior and mood, and if any issues arise, they can gently address them at once. This is thanks to them being certified by multiple nationally recognized associations in canine behavior. Pet parents can rest assured that our Canine Coaches are highly skilled in managing large groups of dogs, and will help encourage exercise and play throughout the day, making each of our pups’ time with us that much more enjoyable.
Our facility follows strict cleaning protocols to keep our dogs safe and feeling comfortable. Our playrooms are sanitized multiple times a day using a biologically-safe, pet-friendly cleaner, and we have UV-filtered HVAC systems in each room to keep the temperature ideal for playing and sleeping, while minimizing bacteria in the air. We also use compressed, non-absorbent rubberized flooring that resists odors and make cleaning a breeze. This type of material is also ideal for our dogs’ paws and aids in their long-term joint health.

Webcams are equipped in each of our playrooms, which our pet parents can access on our free mobile app or on our website. If you are missing your pup while you are out of town, feel free to check in and see how much fun they are having! It’s the cutest thing you’ll watch all day.
