Socialization, learning, exercising, and playing – these are just some of the components of a healthy dog lifestyle, and what your pup can enjoy at Dogtopia of Woodbury. We offer a safe, state-of-the-art dog daycare facility that is catered to dogs of ALL breeds, sizes, temperaments, and play styles. Our pups spend the day playing with like-minded BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever) and engage in fun exercises and agility games designed to improve their physical and mental health.
Dogtopia of Woodbury is 5218 sq ft. with a modern, off-leash, and open-play environment where your pup can have the Most Exciting Day Ever. Our daycare dogs are separated into three playrooms to ensure they feel comfortable enough to engage with other pups. Our Toybox is the best fit for our smaller breeds, our Gym is ideal for our larger pups, and our Romper Room best fits our medium-sized dogs or those with a bit more playtime energy.
Each playroom is under the supervision of our Canine Coaches, who are expertly trained in dog communication and pack management for all breeds of dogs regardless of size and temperament. This can offer our pet parents peace of mind, knowing that all our dogs are playing to their full potential in a safe daycare environment with a team that is not only dedicated to keeping your dog safe but also to teaching them socialization skills to become a better canine citizen anywhere they go.
THE PREMIER DOG DAYCARE IN WOODBURY, MINNESOTA
Dogtopia is the fastest-growing dog daycare brand in the nation and it’s not by accident! We live by these five simple rules:
- We LOVE life unconditionally like a dog.
- We stay loyal to our pack.
- We chase the absolute highest standards of safety.
- We play to our full potential.
- We treat every day like it’s the Most Exciting Day Ever!
We offer half- and full-day daycare stays where your pup can enjoy up to 10 hours of play with their furry friends. From opening until noon, playtime is in full swing. Then from noon until 2:00 p.m., things slow down for lunch and nap time, and we give pups any needed medication as advised by the pet parent. Once their batteries are recharged, our daycare pups get to play, exercise, and learn with one another again until pet parents arrive for pickup. Our daycare pups can also fit in some time at our spa for one (or more) of our services to make them look and feel like a million bones.
Throughout the day, our Canine Coaches, who are trained to notice even the slightest changes in mood or behavior, are there to constantly supervise our daycare dogs during playtime. As they encourage play and socialization, they are also on the lookout for any behavioral or health issues that may appear and will address them in a swift, compassionate manner.
Since our Canine Coaches are always with our daycare pups during play, it allows us to give out occasional report cards to pet parents that outline your dog’s behavior during their stay, who their furry friends are, and tips that can help you replicate our positive educational methods and techniques at home.
DAYCARE SAFETY AND CLEANING PROTOCOLS
Your dog is a member of your family, which is why Dogtopia of Woodbury offers a clean, safe space for them to learn and play. Each playroom is sanitized multiple times a day with a biologically safe, dog-friendly cleaner, which is backed by Dogtopia’s very own Environmental Biologist – the only national dog daycare brand to do so.
Our playrooms use compressed rubberized flooring to maximize comfort and enjoyment during playtime. This type of flooring is better for the long-term health of our dogs’ pads and joints and is non-absorbent, odor-resistant and easy to clean.
You will also find full walls separating each playroom, which helps contain and prevent any airborne doggie illnesses while keeping our pups focused on learning and playing with their like-minded furry friends. Additionally, since our playrooms are inside our facility, you won’t have to worry about them trekking home any dirt or mud. Instead, you’ll bring home a happily played-out pup – something we call the Dogtopia Daze.
We also take care of the things we can’t see – bacteria in the air. All of our playrooms are equipped with a UV-filtered HVAC system, which not only helps maintain a comfortable temperature for play and nap time, but it keeps the air fresh and circulating.
To ensure safety from the start, Dogtopia of Woodbury pups must pass our Meet & Greet evaluation. This is a thorough assessment that our team of experts conduct on each pup wanting to join our facility. We test for comfortability in a crate and how they respond to our staff, as well as conduct a nose-to-tail wellness check and record other overall observations. This usually doesn’t take very long, but we do it so we can determine if an open-play, off-leash environment is a good fit for each dog. This helps provide pet parents with some reassurance that each dog in our facility is meant to be there.
Note: All dogs at our facility must be at least 12 weeks old. Vaccinations (i.e., Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP, etc.) must also be up-to-date, and all dogs seven months old and up must be spayed or neutered.
Dogtopia has several commitments to safety, which we also follow here at Dogtopia of Woodbury. They include:
- Health and safety standards guided by a biologist, behaviorist and veterinarian working together
- Home-style crates for resting, feeding and overnight stays
- A charitable cause that enables dogs to give back to humanity – our location recently sponsored our first service dog for a veteran and are members of the Chamber of Commerce in Woodbury
- Brain games designed to identify the smarty pants in the room and keep dogs engaged
- A passion for providing pet parents and pups with the best possible service
- A universal vow to treat your dogs like a member of the family
WHY DOG DAYCARE?
While there are several reasons why you may want to bring your pup to doggie daycare, one of the biggest benefits is what it can do for their health. Not only will they get to burn more energy because they have multiple furry friends to play with, but with more dogs in the playroom, there is even greater energy and activities to enjoy, making your pup form special bonds with their new BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever).
With health issues like dog obesity on the rise, incorporating exercise into their lifestyle is essential. Our trained Canine Coaches know exactly what to incorporate into playtime that will make exercise feel fun. Speaking of fun, we regularly hold peanut-butter and bacon-flavored bubble parties, themed photoshoots, and other exciting events that make daycare at Dogtopia of Woodbury an exciting adventure for your pup.
WEBCAM LIVESTREAMS FOR PET PARENTS
We know spending time away from your dog is not always easy. That is why we’ve equipped each playroom with a webcam specifically for our pet parents. Accessible through our website or free mobile app, you can watch your pup and all of their tail-wagging fun during daycare hours. We hope it gives you peace of mind that you left them in great hands while you are at work or out of town.
