Our daycare dogs are separated into three spacious playrooms to ensure they feel comfortable enough to engage with other pups. Our Toybox is the best fit for our smaller breeds, our Gym is ideal for our larger pups, and our Romper Room best fits our medium-sized dogs or those with a bit more playtime energy.

Each playroom is under the supervision of our Canine Coaches, who are expertly trained in dog communication and pack management for all breeds of dogs regardless of size and temperament. We offer full-day daycare stays where your pup can enjoy up to 10 hours of play with their furry friends. From opening until noon, playtime is in full swing. Then, from noon until 2 p.m., things slow down for lunch and nap time, and we give pups any needed medication as advised by the pet parent. Once their batteries are recharged, our daycare pups get to play, exercise, and learn with one another again until pet parents arrive for pick-up. Our daycare pups can also fit in some time at our spa for one (or more) of our services to make them look and feel like a million bones.

Throughout the day, our Canine Coaches, who are trained to notice even the slightest changes in mood or behavior, are there to constantly supervise our daycare dogs during playtime. As they encourage play and socialization, they are also on the lookout for any behavioral or health issues that may appear and will address them in a swift, compassionate manner.

Since our Canine Coaches are always with our daycare pups during play, it allows us to give out occasional report cards to pet parents that outline your dog’s behavior during their stay, who their furry friends are, and tips that can help you replicate our positive educational methods and techniques at home.

DAYCARE SAFETY AND CLEANING PROTOCOLS

The health and wellbeing of your furry family member is our top priority, which is why Dogtopia of Woodbury offers a clean, safe space for them to learn and play. Each playroom is sanitized multiple times a day with a biologically safe, dog-friendly cleaner, which is backed by Dogtopia’s very own Environmental Biologist—the only national dog daycare brand to do so.

Our playrooms use compressed rubberized flooring to maximize comfort and enjoyment during playtime. This type of flooring is better for the long-term health of our dogs’ pads and joints than cement and gravel, which you may find at other doggy daycares. Plus, it’s non-absorbent, odor-resistant, and easy to clean.

Each playroom is separated by soundproof, floor-to-ceiling walls, which helps contain and prevent any airborne doggie illnesses while keeping our pups focused on learning and playing with their like-minded furry friends rather than be distracted by neighboring playrooms. Additionally, since our playrooms are indoors, you won’t have to worry about them trekking home any dirt or mud. Instead, you’ll bring home a happily played-out pup, who’s ready to drift off to dreamland—something we call the Dogtopia Daze.

Cleanliness is such a priority at Dogtopia that we even take care of the things we can’t see, like airborne bacteria. All our playrooms are equipped with a UV-filtered HVAC system, which not only helps maintain a comfortable temperature for play and nap time, but it keeps the air fresh and circulating.

To ensure safety from the start, Dogtopia of Woodbury pups must pass our Meet & Greet evaluation. This is a thorough assessment that our team of evaluators conduct on each pup before joining our Dogtopia squad. We test for comfortability in a crate and how they respond to our staff, as well as conduct a nose-to-tail wellness check and record other overall observations. This usually doesn’t take very long, but we do it so we can determine if an open-play, off-leash environment is a good fit for each dog. We want pet parents to rest assured that each dog in our facility is meant to be there.

Note: All dogs at our facility must be at least 12 weeks old with up-to-date vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP/DHPP (also known as “distemper/parvo), and Bordetella. Accessible through Dogtopia’s website or free mobile app, you can watch your pup and all their tail-wagging fun during daycare hours. The only time we turn off our livestreams is between 12-2 p.m., since we dim the lights for a post-lunch nap, and during bedtime hours from 7 p.m. to opening hours the next day.  We hope our webcams give you peace of mind that you left them in great hands while you are at work, out of town, or busy around the house.
