Important Daycare Policy Updates
May 19, 2026
At Dogtopia of Towson, our top priority has always been providing a safe, structured, and enriching environment for every dog in our care. Thanks to the incredible support from our pet parent community, we are consistently reaching capacity in our dog daycare across several playrooms — especially our Toybox room for smaller pups.
To help us continue maintaining safe playgroups, proper staffing, and the best experience possible for all dogs, we are implementing several important dog daycare policy updates effective immediately.
Dog Daycare Appointments Required
Moving forward, all dog daycare visits must be scheduled in advance.
Updated Appointment Policies:
• All dog daycare appointments must be submitted by 7PM the night before
• Non-enrolled dogs’ appointments will be placed on hold until enrolled dogs are accounted for
• Held appointments for non-enrolled dogs will be approved by 7:30PM the night prior if space is available
• Walk-ins without appointments may be turned away, including enrolled dogs
As always, enrolled dogs will receive priority access to available daycare spots.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
To help us properly manage staffing and daycare capacity, we are also implementing the following cancellation policy:
• Cancellations must be submitted by 7:30PM the night before the scheduled daycare appointment
• No-shows or late cancellations may be charged a $15 cancellation fee
We completely understand that emergencies and unexpected situations happen, and we will always do our best to work with pet parents when needed. However, frequent no-shows and repeated late cancellations create challenges for scheduling, staffing, and accommodating other dogs waiting for availability.
Facility Hours & Late Pick-Up/Drop-Off Policy
Our facility hours are:
• Monday – Friday: 7AM – 7PM
• Saturday & Sunday: 9AM – 5PM
We kindly ask all pet parents to arrive within our operating hours for both drop-off and pick-up. Pet parents who consistently arrive outside of operating hours without notifying our team in advance may be subject to a $15 fee.
We understand occasional delays can happen due to traffic, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances, and communication with our team is always appreciated. However, repeated late arrivals or pickups place additional strain on our staff and operations.
Need More Availability? Dogtopia of Owings Mills Is Accepting New Dogs!
Our sister location, Dogtopia of Owings Mills, is currently accepting new daycare and boarding dogs and has additional availability for families needing more flexibility.
Even better — dogs approved at Towson are already approved to attend Owings Mills! This makes it easy for pet parents to access daycare at either location when schedules fill up.
Your pups will also see familiar faces at Owings Mills, including Javon, Sky, and Bert, helping dogs feel comfortable and confident in their new environment.
Important Reminder: Please Pick Up After Your Dogs
We also want to remind all pet parents that dog waste must always be picked up outside our facility. Waste bags are always available and we are happy to dispose of any waste for you, just bring it to us.
Unfortunately, neighboring businesses have continued to raise concerns regarding dog waste being left around the building and parking areas. Ongoing issues could negatively impact our relationship with our landlord and neighboring tenants.
We kindly ask everyone to help us keep our community clean, respectful, and welcoming for all.
Thank You for Your Support
We know changes like these can be an adjustment, but these updates allow us to continue delivering the safe, fun, and structured daycare experience your dogs deserve every single day.
We truly appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and continued trust in our team.
If you have any questions about these updates, please contact our team directly or speak with a member of our front desk staff.
