Edmond’s first service dog for a veteran!

Kelly is our first service dog sponsored through the Dogtopia Foundation’s partnership with K9s for Warriors. We chose to work with K9s for Warriors as most of the dogs they train come from high-kill rescue shelters. Their three-week, comprehensive training program gives previously unwanted dogs the ability to change the life of a veteran. The rescued dogs prove that not only are they good companions but can save lives if given the chance. An average of 20 veterans commit suicide every day and 700,000 dogs are euthanized each year in shelters. Because of these staggering statistics, our team decided to do everything we could to reach our fundraising goal. Through the generosity of our pet parents and team, we hit our goal of $6000 and sponsored Kelly’s training as a service dog.
