When you travel, your dog should keep a predictable routine. At Dogtopia of Ellisville, boarding includes full-day daycare, a planned rest period, and supervised group play led by trained Canine Coaches. Your dog stays active during the day and settles into a calm nighttime routine.
Our 10,500 sq ft facility was designed for safe, structured open-play. Each climate-controlled playroom features fully rubberized flooring for traction and joint support. The playrooms are fully separate and have independent air systems. We deep clean and sanitize twice daily, with ongoing spot-cleaning throughout the day. Our certified Canine Coached lead daily activities that keep dogs active, engaged, and happy.
DOG BOARDING in Ellisville
Boarding at Dogtopia is daycare by day and a consistent, restful routine at night. We do not use kennel runs. Overnight guests participate in supervised, off-leash daycare during the day with a planned rest period built into the schedule. Dogs burn off plenty of energy, and by night, they settle into a familiar, safe space where they can rest comfortably after a full day of activity and attention. Throughout the day, you can check in using our live webcams through our app or website.
While in daycare, our certified Canine Coaches ensure every guest stays happy, healthy, and relaxed during their visit. To make your pup feel more at home, you’re welcome to bring their bedding and a non-squeaky toy. We also recommend sending their regular food pre-portioned per meal, since maintaining a consistent diet helps keep their stomach settled and their stay stress-free.
Nighttime setup
-
Standard boarding: Dogs sleep in their home-style crate in the playroom alongside their playmates. You are welcome to bring familiar bedding for comfort.
-
Suite upgrade (optional): A limited number of private rooms are available, roughly 5 ft by 6 ft. We keep this as an option for dogs who do not rest comfortably in a crate or do best with more separation. Most dogs do well in standard boarding.

When you are away, you can check in on your dog throughout the day using live webcams on desktop or Dogtopia app.
Preparing Your Dog for Boarding
Every new dog begins with a complimentary Meet & Greet, where they will be evaluated for readiness in our off-leash, open-play environment and determine the right playroom placement. During the Meet & Greet, we will also tour the facility, explain the boarding routine, and help you set up webcam access.
To help your dog settle in quickly, we recommend:
-
Start with daycare first: If your dog is new to Dogtopia, a few daycare days before their visit helps them learn the playroom routine before their first overnight stay.
-
Keep food consistent: Bring your dog’s regular food, pre-portioned by meal, to ensure their stomach stays regular.
-
Bring familiar comfort items: Bedding from home and one non-squeaky toy can help your dog relax.
-
Tell us what matters: Let our team know about any sensitivities, medications, or mobility concerns at drop-off.
Dogtopia helps new families start with:
-
A complimentary first daycare day after Meet & Greet, this lets your dog sniff us out and helps them learn the new routine.
-
First night free for new boarding customers as an introduction to our overnight program, some parents schedule this as a practice night to get them ready.
For the safety of all guests, dogs must be current on vaccinations. See our New Pet Parent section for all requirements.
