Supervised play, expert care, and peace of mind for West St. Louis County families
Hi, I’m Nick Losciuto, owner of Dogtopia of Ellisville. We offer families near Ballwin, Chesterfield, and Wildwood a more transparent, structured alternative to traditional kennels for dog daycare and boarding.
Daycare is at the core of what we do. Dogs are grouped by size, temperament, and play style, then supervised throughout the day by trained Canine Coaches. Boarding dogs follow that same structured daycare routine, with supervised play, exercise, socialization, and rest breaks instead of idle kennel time.

Dog daycare
Daycare is what we are built around: structured, fully supervised open-play led by trained Canine Coaches. Dogs are placed in the right group based on size, temperament, and play style, with scheduled rest breaks to help keep play safe, balanced, and engaging.
Live webcams let you check in on your dog throughout the day in the playrooms and yard.
What daycare delivers:
-
Consistent exercise and mental enrichment
-
Predictable routine that supports calmer behavior at home
-
Ongoing social skill building in a managed environment
-
Real-time supervision with active coaching and safe interruptions when needed
- Spa services are available to pamper your dog any day they are with us
Getting started is simple. Book a Meet & Greet online or give us a call at 636-283-2444 to arrange your first visit. See our New Pet Parent page for safety and health requirements.
Dog Boarding
Boarding is available to any dog who passes the Meet & Greet evaluation, not just dogs enrolled in daycare plans. The biggest difference from traditional kennel boarding is the daytime routine. Boarding dogs participate in the same supervised daycare structure as our regular guests, including matched playgroups, coached play, enrichment, and rest breaks. You can check in during the day on the webcams.
Why that matters for boarding:
-
Less idle kennel time during the day
-
A familiar routine that helps reduce stress while you are away
-
Balanced activity that supports calmer evenings
-
Consistent supervision with group matching and active management
Spa services are available as an add-on to daycare or boarding so your dog goes home clean and comfortable. Options include baths, brush-outs, de-shed treatments, teeth cleaning, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, and nail trims.
MEET & GREET Evaluation
All new dogs complete a Meet & Greet before joining daycare, boarding, or spa services. This first visit helps us assess the readiness while we explain how everything works. Our evaluator speaks with you about your dog’s social and health history and integrates them in with the safest, most appropriate group. It also gives pet parents a chance to tour the facility, learn the routine, and get set up with webcam access.
See our New Pet Parent page for more details on this process, our requirements, and scheduling your first visit.
SAFETY Standards
Every playroom is staffed by our highly trained Canine Coaches, who supervise and interact with the dogs all day in dog day care. Their custom training program, designed by a registered animal behaviorist, teaches them to read even subtle body language and safely manage dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperaments. They also observe how your dog plays and interacts with their BFFFs and share those insights with you through periodic report cards.
Dogtopia has earned certification as a Heroes for Healthy Pets™️facility. This infectious disease management program focuses on preventive care, strategic vaccination and strict cleaning and disinfection protocols, and is backed by leading veterinary and pet-care organizations.
Our spacious indoor playrooms use state-of-the-art HVAC with Sterile-Air systems that use UV light to kill airborne pathogens and help maintain fresh, clean air. We deep clean and sanitize twice per day with a hospital grade, pet-friendly cleaner, and our compressed rubber flooring is designed to support long-term joint and paw health.
A TEAM YOU CAN TRUST
At Dogtopia of Ellisville, daycare safety starts with the people in the room. Our playrooms are led by trained Canine Coaches who are taught to read canine body language, manage group play, and step in early to keep play balanced and controlled.
Our training curriculum is approved for continuing education credits by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) and combines Dogtopia’s behavior-based coursework with additional operational standards developed locally. The result is consistency not just in philosophy, but in day-to-day execution.
Meet the team responsible for those standards:
McKenna, General Manager
Leads day-to-day operations at Ellisville, managing staff training, playroom structure, and the pet parent experience.
Madi, Canine Coach Trainer
Trains and supports our Canine Coaches, reinforcing safe play, proper handling, and consistent group management.
Kiersten, Regional Manager
Oversees operations and standards across the region to ensure consistent supervision, training, and care.
DOGTOPIA FOUNDATION
Enabling dogs to positively change our world
To accomplish this, we currently are funding programs focused around three worthy causes: Service Dogs for Veterans, Therapy Dogs for Students, and Employment Initiatives for Adults with Autism. 100% of your donation is given directly to the organizations we support. Our store has raised over $30,000 from customer donations through events and treat days on our event calendar. Every time $6,000 is raised, another service dog is sponsored and trained to be paired with a wounded veteran! Here are the service dogs sponsored from our Ellisville donations and the veterans they are paired with!
