Have you ever wondered how often your dog needs grooming?

Keeping your dog clean and comfortable is more than just looking good—it’s an important part of their overall health! ✨ Most dogs do well with a bath every 4–8 weeks, depending on their breed, coat type, and how much fun they’ve been having outside. Dogs with skin sensitivities or certain coats may need a different schedule, so always check with your vet if you’re unsure.
Nail trims are just as important! Most dogs need their nails trimmed about every 3–4 weeks. If you hear those paws clicking across the floor, it’s probably time. Long nails can be uncomfortable and even affect the way your dog walks.
A few other grooming must-dos: brush regularly to reduce shedding and prevent mats, check ears for dirt or odor, and brush teeth often to help keep those pearly whites healthy.
If nail trims feel like a two-person wrestling match at home, Dogtopia Springfield is happy to help make it quick and stress-free. Because every pup deserves to look good, feel good, and strut their stuff! Give us a call at 703-982-0099!
