PREMIER DOG DAYCARE, BOARDING, AND MORE IN FRISCO, TX

During the day, our daycare dogs play, learn, and interact with one another in our safe indoor playrooms, which are designated based on size, temperament, and play style. We do this to ensure all dogs at Dogtopia of West Frisco are comfortable to be their best doggie selves with like-minded pals. It’s also a surefire way for them to make BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever).

Our four spacious indoor playrooms within our 6,000 sq. ft. facility include:

    • Wee: This is for our little dogs who prefer playing with pups their own size. It’s a great space for puppies to safely learn the ropes of playing, learning, and socializing while they’re still small.
    • Toy: Smaller breeds of all ages thrive in this space, as it means they’re not playing in the shadows of larger dogs.
    • Gym: Our big dogs have the room to run and play with other large breeds.
    • Romper: The pups that fall in-between with energetic playtime energy will love this space to interact with others who match their vibe.

For the dogs who need a home away from home, our boarding service is the perfect way for them to enjoy a fun day with friends PLUS a sleepover where they will rest peacefully and securely in our care. We offer spacious home-style crates in their playroom for them to sleep in alongside their BFFFs, as dogs are pack animals and feel comfort when near other dogs. We also offer four private suites, ideal for larger dogs or siblings who prefer to stay together.

Our spa services offer total pampering and hygiene care. Under the expert care of our spa team, your dog can feel at ease during their bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, and more—it’s the ultimate in doggie self-care.

WHAT’S A DAY LIKE AT DOGTOPIA OF West Frisco?

Let’s just say there is a lot of tail-wagging going on! Pet parents want to know what their dog will be up to during their day—rightfully so. When you log into our playroom webcams at Dogtopia of West Frisco, you’d see them start their day with the morning crowd of like-minded furry friends, where they have the freedom to run around their playroom and enjoy our secure ramps and slide play structures.

Our team also provides agility equipment for pups to work on their paw-eye coordination and games that make physical exercise fun. Did you know Dogtopia dogs average a minimum of 30,000 steps in a day, compared to the 8,000 steps dogs at home typically get? You’ll have the fittest dog on the block!

We hold frequent photoshoots with props and costumes that make for phone wallpaper-worthy pictures, arts & crafts days to unleash our pups’ inner artists, themed treat days that are the cherry on top of an exciting day, and bubble parties with bacon- and peanut butter-flavored bubbles that dogs love to chase (and taste) around the room.

To ensure each dog receives adequate rest, we schedule naptime at noon, when pups recharge their playtime batteries. They will head over to their own individual crate in the same playroom to take advantage of the familiarity they just developed in their environment. Before napping, they will chow down on lunch brought from home or one of our meal options, such as our delicious protein bowls, high-quality house dog food (also included in dogs’ overnight stay), and more.

When 2 p.m. rolls around, they are back to playing, learning, and enjoying all the fun daycare has to offer until their pet parents arrive to pick them up, while overnight guests will keep playing as we prepare their dinner.

DOG DAYCARE PLAYROOM DESIGN AND CLEANLINESS

Since all our pups remain off-leash and only spend a short amount of time in their crate (during naptime and breaks), we implemented several safety and comfort considerations during construction that make for a more secure, inviting, and beneficial space. These considerations include:

    • Floor-to-ceiling walls: Instead of flimsy dividers in one large space, as you might see at other doggie daycares, we made sure each playroom is exactly that—a room. The walls are also soundproof, which limits distraction.
    • Compressed rubber flooring: Playing on paws throughout the day without comfort can be rough! That’s why we used flooring that’s made from a compressed rubber material that is comfortable on paw pads, promotes hip and joint health, and is non-absorbing and easy to clean.
    • Double-barrier doors: No escape artists here! On top of the supervision from our team, we constructed double-barrier doors to each playroom so there’s always a secure space between the playroom and the hallway.
    • UV-filtered HVAC systems: To keep the air clean and odor-free, we equipped HVAC systems in each playroom that filter in fresh air. We’re also able to climate-control our playrooms because of it, so no matter the weather on our forecast, our playrooms have a comfortable playtime temperature.

Maintaining a clean environment is important to us at Dogtopia of West Frisco. This is why we perform a deep clean twice daily, one of which is during naptime, so all playroom surfaces are sanitized and safe for our pups to resume play. We closely follow the guidelines set by Dogtopia’s very own Environmental Biologist and Veterinary Scientist and use pet-safe cleaning products, including a pet-safe bio-enzymatic spot cleaner, so our dogs are never exposed to any harsh chemicals.

Dogtopia of West Frisco has earned certification status as a Heroes for Healthy PetsTM facility. The Heroes for Healthy PetsTM Certification Program in Infectious Disease Management provides training for preventative care, including strategic vaccination, and cleaning and disinfection protocols to help maintain disease-free facilities and keep pets healthy. The program is co-sponsored by the International Boarding and Pet Services Association, National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, Pet Sitters International, VETgirl, and Barkleigh Productions.

EXPERT DOG CARE IN THE CITY OF FRISCO

Our dogs receive the very best care from our highly trained Canine Coaches. Our Coaches undergo a rigorous, four-part training program to equip them with the skills to manage large groups of dogs, regardless of sizes or breeds. They can also effectively “read the room” and quickly detect subtle changes in our dogs’ body language, allowing them to proactively prevent any unwanted behavior before it develops. Additionally, they can identify dogs who may require assistance socializing with their playmates or need a break.

The training curriculum all our Coaches must pass has been approved for continuing education credits by both the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, ensuring that our team is up to date with the latest practices and techniques in dog behavior and wellness. We recognize it can be difficult for some pet parents to be away from their pup, but rest assured that our team knows how to interact with dogs, being dog lovers themselves, and will treat your pup like they’re their own.

To ensure proper communication with all our pet parents, we provide periodic report cards that offer valuable insights into their dog’s day. Frequent attendance allows our team to develop a deeper understanding of each dog’s personality and behavior, leading to even more detailed reports and helpful tips that can extend outside of our daycare.

    LIVE HD PLAYROOM WEBCAMS

Spending time away from your pup is like a child going to school—it can be tough at first, but the more they do so, the more comfortable it becomes. While this is the case for our Dogtopia Family dogs and their pet parents, we still wanted to offer check-ins. That is why we’ve equipped webcams in each playroom that livestreams HD video footage during play hours. You can join the fun virtually from wherever you are via Dogtopia’s free mobile app and/or website.

Please note that we turn the livestreams off from 12 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. so pups can rest and enjoy lunch privately. Since this is also when our team performs a playroom deep clean, you won’t miss out on any tail-wagging fun.

    MEET & GREET EVALUATION

A Meet & Greet evaluation is a safety precaution at all Dogtopia locations to help us determine if our daycare is the right fit for your dog. While “evaluation” might seem daunting, we promise it’s just a chance to meet you and your pup and see if our space will benefit your furry family member, as we want them to enjoy their time in our care. It will take about 20-30 minutes and it can be broken down into three categories:

    • Health history overview: Keeping our facility safe and healthy is important, so our team of evaluators will conduct a thorough review of your dog’s health history and perform a comprehensive nose-to-tail examination. If your pup has any sensitivities to touch, we’ll mark it down so we can remember it for the future when our team interacts with them.
    • A daycare reenactment: Our team will create a mini play space with a couple of other dogs that match their size and play style, and we’ll observe how they interact. Safe socialization is our top priority, so we will look for any signs that may indicate potential concerns in that area.
    • Crate test: Since our playroom crates are used for napping and, potentially, sleeping overnight, we’ll see how they respond and ensure they feel comfortable and at ease.

Throughout this time, our team will give you a tour of our facility and answer any questions you may have about any of our services. If you feel content in our space, your pup will pick up on it. Once the evaluation is complete, we’ll let you know if your pup is given the green light. If so, your dog can book an immediate daycare visit. However, if we think more time is required for them to feel comfortable in our space, we will communicate that to you and recommend you try again later.

We also have mandatory guidelines that apply to all Dogtopia locations. While all breeds of dogs are welcome, they must be:

    • 12 weeks of age and older.
    • Spayed or neutered at 7 months and older.
    • Up to date with their vaccines, which include Rabies, Bordetella, DHLPP/DHPP (also known as “distemper/parvo”), etc.
    • Free of any communicable illness, including any that could spread to others (i.e., fleas, ticks, etc.) for the past 30 days.
