Anika, Top Dog
Anika is 22 years old and has worked at Dogtopia for two years. Growing up, she always had a passion for dogs and for training with them. Originally from Germany, Anika completed a practicum at a dog training school, while in Canada she has since volunteered at the Coquitlam Animal Shelter and at the Pacific Assistant Dog Society (PADS). She is currently planning on enrolling in a Criminology program at Douglas College with aspirations to become a police officer and work her way up to a K9 Handler. When not spending her time with all the pups here at Dogtopia, Anika enjoys working out or getting outside with any friend’s doggy she can borrow for the day!
Leanne, Customer Service Advisor
Leanne joined the Dogtopia team in October of 2017 and has since been the happy smiling face ready to greet your doggies every morning ever since! Leanne has always had a big passion for all animals, and has previously spent her time volunteering at the SPCA. While she loves ALL dog breeds, she has a special place in her heart for pit bulls and other bully-type breeds. In her spare time, she is a mom to three amazing kids and enjoys cuddling up at home with her pretty pittie, Lexi.
Leah Hubert, Groomer
Taylor, Canine Coach
Taylor started working at Dogtopia in February of 2018. She has always had an incredible love for animals and has had dogs in her family since before she was born. She wishes to pursue a career in either physical therapy or prenatal development. And, always with a witty sense of humor, she has a very serious question for all of you lovely pet parents: Why are dogs like phones?….. because they both have “collar” ID’s
Kimberly, Canine Coach
Kimberly became part of the Dogtopia team back in May 2018. Her affection towards dogs starting during her childhood, and has grown into a passion ever since. Kimberly’s love for dogs has inspired her to pursue a career in the Veterinary field. She is a recent graduate of Granville College Veterinary Assistant program. She is also continuing to study to become a Veterinary technician. In her spare time Kimberly enjoys various activities such as reading, cooking, and teaching a dance class for young girls. Kimberly’s favourite thing about Dogtopia is coming in early in the morning and being the first person to greet and play with all the dogs!
Katelynn, Canine Coach
Katelyn’s adventure at Dogtopia started in April of 2018, and what a wonderful adventure it has been! Since starting at Dogtopia she has realized that she would like a lifelong career working with animals and hopes to soon journey into the studies of wildlife rehabilitation. Katelyn likes spending as much time outside as possible, whether it’s reading a book on the beach or playing in the water with all of the doggies here at Dogtopia!
