Dogtopia of Miramar in San Diego offers a number of doggy daycare options, whether you need to leave your dog for the entire day when you’re at the office, or just for a few hours while you run errands.
We designed our 5,500 square foot facility with dog’s comfort in mind. We separate dogs based on size and play style, so you won’t have to worry about your dog being disturbed by other dogs with different temperaments.
Our three playrooms (The Romper Room, The Lounge and The Toy Box), were designed with dogs’ comfort in mind and come with rubberized flooring, which is gentle on the soles of their feet.
Your pup may not be the only one suffering from separation anxiety. Not to worry! Each of our playrooms come equipped with webcams so you can check in on your dog anytime during the day (except naptime) using a desktop or mobile device.
What Sets Dogtopia of Miramar’s Daycare Apart?
There’s so much more to our daycare besides providing a safe and fun place to leave your dog. Not only will your dog have a paw-some time with their new BFFFs (best furry friends forever), they will also learn important socialization skills and get lots of exercise.
Many of our clients tell us they see an improvement in their dog’s behavior after just a few days of daycare.
All three playrooms at Dogtopia of Miramar in San Diego offer natural sunlight. Our indoor, climate-controlled playrooms mean that your dog will get plenty of exercise, no matter what the weather. Ultraviolet lights in our heating and air-containing units help to reduce bacteria, viruses and molds to improve the indoor air quality. Playing indoors also greatly reduces the risk of illness from bugs, critters and parasites commonly found at outdoor dog parks.
Daycare dogs enjoy naptime in comfortable home-style crates between 12 pm and 2 pm.
Here’s a typical day at doggy daycare:
- 7:00 am: Our team welcomes happy and energetic dogs for a full day of fun and play
- 7:00 am– 12:00 pm: Fully supervised open play time where your pup will get to know their fellow daycare dogs and the team at Dogtopia
- 12:00 pm– 2:00 pm: Lunch* followed by a well-deserved nap
- 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm: More playtime before mom or dad arrive for pickup
*Lunch is optional

Dog Daycare by a Team of Dedicated Professionals
Our highly trained room attendants are a vital part of Dogtopia of Miramar having a safe environment. Before they even enter one of our playrooms, they are trained and certified in dog behavior, anatomy, health, first aid, body language, pack management, breeds and breed tendencies, safety, sanitation and leadership. Each of our attendants is adept at safely managing our open play environment.
If you aren’t sure about which enrollment plan is right for your budget and needs, they will work closely with you to determine what works best for you.

Since April of 2016, we have proudly served dog parents in San Diego, Miramar, La Jolla, Scripps Ranch, La Jolla, UTC, University City, Scripps Ranch, Mira Mesa, Poway and the surrounding regions. Our facility is conveniently located with easy access from major routes including Interstate 5, Interstate 15 and Interstate 805.
If you want to take your dog out for some fresh air before or after visiting us, we are close to Nobel Dog Park and Doyle Community Park.
