Dogtopia of Madison West is “top dog” when it comes to providing the best dog care in the area. We pride ourselves on providing a safe and fun environment for our four-legged guests whether they are here for the day or overnight. Your dog is a member of your family and we know you worry about them while you’re away. Feel peace of mind and keep an eye on your pup during business hours using the webcams in all three of our indoor playrooms and two outdoor playgrounds. Check your email while you’re away for regular updates on your dog’s mood, appetite, health, and play behaviors during their stay. Dogs who board receive complimentary daycare from the morning of drop off to lobby close on the day of pick up, though you are welcome to pick them up at any time that day. Our standard boarding rate is all-inclusive, meaning up to 12 hours of exercise and socialization with canine and human friends, extended playtime among just the boarding dogs, mealtimes per your dog’s schedule, complimentary medication administration, regular updates, and the use of Dogtopia food and bedding, if you so choose. That said, boarding dogs participate in our regular naptime from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. and receive additional rest breaks throughout the day to ensure they are not overstimulated.
For nighttime rest, we encourage bringing personal food, toys and bedding from home for additional comfort. Bedtime for boarding dogs is at approximately 9:30 pm. Dogs sleep in the same rooms they play in so they have a familiar environment from sun up to sun down, reducing stress and allowing them to rest more fully. Each dog is provided their own appropriately-sized, home-style crate for comfort and safety overnight, but your dog will rest easy next to their siblings and among their BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Forever). We provide alternative housing options for dogs who are unfamiliar with crates at home. We cozy up each homestyle crate with bedding and toys, as appropriate, but by the time night falls, your dog will be experiencing “the Dogtopia Daze” and will sleep deeply after their full day of fun!
New Clients
Your dog’s all-inclusive boarding rate includes off-leash open play with our daycare dogs from the morning of drop off to the afternoon of pick up. Before your dog boards with us, you’ll need to schedule a Meet & Greet at Dogtopia. All new dogs, daycare and boarding, go through this process and all boarding dogs must be eligible for open play. This meeting will give our staff a chance to meet your pup and learn whether or not they will enjoy the energy of our unique environment.
REQUIRED PLAY
ln addition to the Meet & Greet, all new boarding dogs are required to attend, FREE of charge, 3 days of daycare at Dogtopia within the 30 days prior to their first stay. After their first stay, we still require your dog stay current at Dogtopia but this requirement reduces to 1 play in the 30 days prior to check in for future boarding. This ensures our staff will have the chance to learn your dog’s baseline health and behaviors so they can alert to anything abnormal during your dog’s stay. It also ensures your dog will be more acclimated to our environment so they can enjoy a stress-free and fun staycation!
PLAY & TRAIN
Consult with our Certified Professional Dog Trainer to create a custom training plan for your pup that will be incorporated into their boarding stay. You simply drop them off for boarding as normal and we’ll take care of the rest! Every play & train session includes 30 minutes of training, an extra enrichment activity, and a private outdoor play session to practice their skills with other students. Ask about training during your pup’s Meet & Greet!
Boarding Rate
Dogs who are enrolled at Dogtopia for 1-3 plays per week enjoy a $10/night discount & the option to apply their enrollment payment to their boarding costs. Dogs who are enrolled for unlimited play enjoy a discounted $35/night rate. Enrollment in daycare is not required to board your dog at Dogtopia; however, please review our play before stay requirement under the New Clients section above.

6:00 a.m. – 6:30 a.m. | Morning leg stretch & potty breaks, followed by breakfast
6:30 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. | Rest time to digest their food while their daycare friends join the room for a fun day of play
7:30 a.m. – 12:00 a.m. | Supervised open play, including games & basic command practice
12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Lunchtime and a well-deserved nap
2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. | More play with their new BFFF’s (Best Furry Friends Forever)
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. | Dinnertime and rest time to digest
8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. | Quiet play time with their boarding friends
9:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. | Final potty break and tucked in for bed
BUSINESS HOURS FOR BOARDING Dogs
All boarding dogs must be dropped off for boarding before NOON, Monday – Saturday or between the hours of 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Sundays. Dogs may be picked up from boarding at any time during business hours, though we ask that you do not pick up during naptime (12:00-2:00 p.m.) to avoid disturbing the other dog’s rest. The day of pick up includes complimentary participation in open-play with our daycare dogs until your preferred pick up time or lobby close.
