Peter Thomas was one of the leading real estate developers and lenders of his time in North America, developing several billion dollars of projects. He brought the franchising rights of Century 21 Real Estate to Canada and developed it into the largest franchise in the world.

Kim Hamm, Vice President – Operations

Kim Hamm, President & CEO, Canada

Prior to being the CEO & President of Dogtopia, Canada; Kim Hamm held the the position of the VP of Operations for the Dogtopia US Support Office from 2015 to 2019.  Previously, she was a member of Thomas Franchise Solutions who partnered with Dogtopia as a strategic investor in 2012.

Kim is a dual citizen of Canada and the US and her prior background includes 10 years of hospitality and hotel management in Canada. Prior to receiving her Bachelor of Commerce degree in entrepreneurial management, she served a six-year tenure at a boutique resort in Tofino, BC, which yields the highest REVPAR production ranking amongst hotels in Canada, where she held various positions including Business Analyst, Controller and Director of Operations.

Matt Bowling, President of Dogtopia Enterprises Canada

Matt Bowling, President CM/PM Services, Canada

Matt joined the team at the Dogtopia Support Office in 2015 helping in construction & design and in 2017 worked overseeing the Dogtopia Corporate Store locations in Maryland and Virginia until a new District Manager was appointed. On 2019 Bowling accepted the role of President of CM/PM Services for Dogtopia Canada and is responsible for providing strategic construction and project management solutions to produce best in class dog daycare centers in Canada.

John Dunatov, Western Canada Franchise Sales Director

John joined Dogtopia in October 2018 to serve as President of Construction and Franchise Sales Advisor in Western Canada after three decades of developing and building hotels, resorts and residential projects in the United States and internationally.  John is determined and driven to make the Dogtopia brand one of the premier brands in Western Canada.

Mark Sonik, Eastern Canadian Franchise Sales Director

Mark Sonik, Eastern Canada Franchise Sales Director

Mark Sonik has been involved with franchise operations in Canada for over 35 years as a Franchisor, Franchise Director, Franchise Sales Executive, Master Franchisee and individual unit Franchisee.  Mark started his career as a Satellite Director for H & R Block with territorial responsibilities which included Central/North Central Ontario.

Anita Samadian, Regional Developer, Dogtopia Eastern Canada

Anita Samadian has been the Eastern Canada Regional Developer for Dogtopia since 2014. From 2012 to 2013 Anita owned and operated a Pet Valu Franchise. From June 2005 to 2011 Anita was a multi Franchisee in the Herbal Magic Chain. From 2002 to 2005 Anita was the Operations manager for Herbal Magic.

The Dogtopia Foundation enables dogs to positively change the world. To accomplish this, we currently are funding programs focused around three worthy causes: Service Dogs for Veterans, Youth Literacy Programs and Employment Initiatives for Adults with Autism.
